This winter, Christmas rings out in front of the Bucharest National Opera. Between December 6 and 28, we invite you to a realm where music and storytelling meet the joy of celebrating the holidays together.
The Bucharest Opera Christmas Market will take place on the esplanade in front of the National Opera, where we can share the true spirit of the winter holidays: Christmas performances, events dedicated to children and many other surprises prepared for you and your loved ones.
We invite you to listen to the warmest voices and see some of Romania’s most beloved artists in a unique series of Christmas concerts. And to make the magic come alive, we’ve prepared two live screenings of “The Nutcracker” and “La Bohème” from the Opera’s main hall.

Within the Bucharest Opera Christmas Market, we’ve prepared a wide range of surprises, both on stage and throughout the specially arranged areas on the esplanade: culinary delights, charming gift stalls and spaces dedicated to children.

This area of the market is dedicated to organizations and associations supporting charitable causes. All proceeds from the sale of products in this area will be donated.
Christmas décor brings joy to everyone. This year, the market will once again feature a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, sparkling lights and displays inspired by some of the most beautiful winter tales. Light projections will illuminate the Opera House façade in a festive atmosphere.
